Had he not accidently stopped by Jiang, he would be a famous Hanjian.
Hu was famous because he lived and worked at the right place in right time.
So was Guo. But again Guo was also a mean guy. He cheated his japanese wives and two children, his wife's sister, and a couple other ladies. He had no belief in any ideology and eventually knelt down in front of Chairman Mao because Mao knew people like Guo very very well.
